“We have to sometimes recognize how far we’ve come. In order to speed up where we want to go.”
Now, I’m not talking about looking in the rear view mirror, or ‘woulda, coulda, shoulda,”
This quote is about, “oh my gosh, I’m so glad I __.”
It’s about actually taking the time to regularly recognize the progress and small steps you made.

The list of possible celebrations could go on for days, and that’s exactly the point I’m making. There are so many small wins we never pause and celebrate. We just move on to the next goal. Never rewarding ourselves or even acknowledging the task we just completed.
This is why setting achievable benchmarks for ourselves is so important!
When we recognize we’re moving forward, it helps us keep going and see exactly what we did to get there.
We celebrate these steps because they give us clarity, which will make going forward seem less daunting. And it gives our minds the much needed break, because pushing yourself to burnout helps no one.
So, STOP and smell the roses.
Even better, I challenge you to set a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and even yearly reminder to pause, write down all the things you’ve accomplished, and then celebrate it.

Have an ice cream, take an hour of personal time to do something that brings you joy, and isn’t connected to any goals on your plate. Make this reward a true reward, and watch month after month how this little step truly impacts your mindset.
And don’t forget to share your wins with me. I love celebrating YOU!
Jenell
