How did it happen that Thanksgiving in the US is upon us again?!
For those of you outside of North America – Thanksgiving is not only the kick off to the holiday season, but it is the time when we eat a ton of food (turkey the prime target for the family table) and connect with the things we are most grateful for in life.
For Canadians: I know, you’ve “been there, done that, bought the shirt!” but bear with me please…
Ok- my USA peeps! Turkey and football are coming!! BRING IT ON!
Rather than bring you another “plan for Black Friday”/ “Cyber Monday”/ “Giving Tuesday” business planning email, I want to talk turkey… and gratitude.
What are you doing for the holiday? And what about the whole month of December??
I am particularly thankful that I have the flexibility in my life (ie relationship and job) to have a day with family and friends planned wherein I get to cook for some of my favorite people on this planet… and then hop on a plane for a two week whirlwind, bucket list kind of trip, to China. I am pretty much scaling back work for a total of 4 weeks starting today.
(Plan to see a ton of pictures of China in my upcoming feeds, people!)
I have created a life where this can happen.
It wasn’t always true: for years I worked for other people and had limitations on how many days per year I could be away from their business.
I am thankful every day I open my eyes that my life is full of laughter and people who make me happy, because I have lived in misery. I appreciate the flexibility my schedule brings, because I have lived without the freedom.
So, I ask you again, what are you doing to celebrate the upcoming holidays?
How will you reach into your life for some gratitude and then share the love?
If you find that your life or your business isn’t showing up for you with the freedom you yearn for, or that gratitude is a little harder to find right now – let’s connect and I will help you find one way to get more freedom in your life through your business. Use this link.
If you just want to talk turkey – I’m using the Julia Childs recipe for a deconstructed turkey this year. It’s easy (except for the actual “deconstructing part”) and cooks fast and perfectly every time. I’d be happy to share the recipe or some cooking tips. Cooking for a crowd is one of my most treasured hobbies. (Let’s connect via email first, and then I’ll happily do a phone-in turkey intervention, or pass along the butterball emergency line…)
