Even the most successful entrepreneur has things that need to change before reaching the next level – what’s on your list?
-Do you need to find a new website designer?
-A new back end/ technology genius to connect it all up with your online shopping cart?
-How about a new VA with all the skills in digital/database/calendaring/graphic designs you don’t have?
-Is a new facility/space/office on your to do list?
Or is it you that needs an upgrade?
How often have you read stories of the founder of a company being replaced as CEO by someone with experience or seen as more capable by the board of directors. Heck, Steve Jobs was kicked out of Apple in 1985!
This happens when the skill set of the leader is no longer at the level of the business. In your business, it just means you will never be able to achieve a level of success bigger than you are willing.
Steve Jobs returned to Apple in 1997 with a new sense of clarity and purpose for the company. He had “upgraded” his skills, leadership and vision in the 12 years away from Apple.
Successful entrepreneurs are always assessing and upgrading their own skills in order to move their businesses forward.
So… what do you need to change to move forward? Are you willing to do the work?
+ + + + + + +
I’m going to bring this back to “is it easy” or “is it hard” today.
Change isn’t “easy” or “hard” – it’s your relationship with the change that makes it “easy” or “hard.”
The CEO who embraces a weak spot as a new challenge is going to be more adaptive (it’s easy) than one who freezes up and digs in to keep things “the way it’s always been” or (even worse) they way they want it all the time (it’s hard.)
I’m here to help.
But only if you want to see a difference, if you want to see progress, if “easy” is appealing to you.
What are you afraid will happen if you are successful? Because that needs to change…
